Place all recyclable metals such as clean aluminum foil and pie plates, metal cans of all types (aluminum, steel, tin, bi-metal and empty aerosol cans), pots, pans and other hard objects made out of metal in the designated recycling bins provided by your waste hauler

Continue to pick-up after your pet and toss it in the trash! Do not water down areas with animal waste. Remove soiled bedding and manure at least 3 times per week from stalls, paddocks and/or barns.

Do not hose down hard surfaces such as driveways and sidewalks. Sweeping up residual sediment, leaves and landscaping waste and place within green waste bins to prevent them from being in contact with rain or irrigation water where it can be carried away to the river and/or into a nearby creek.

Clean grease traps at least once a week. Some traps require more frequent cleaning; therefore, adjust as necessary. Do not pour grease into trash bins, street gutters, storm drains or sewers.

Remember to wash floor mats, kitchen mats, and garbage cans in a mop sink, janitorial sink or near a kitchen floor drain. These receptacles drain to the sanitary sewer where waste is treated.

Time for Spring Cleaning! There are several things we use on a daily basis that can be hazardous if not disposed of properly. Dispose of hazardous waste such as auto fluids, paints, chemicals, and batteries at a designated Community Hazardous Waste Collection Center.
